My name is Kessa. You may know me as @k.avilart on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. I'm an illustrator, painter, graphic designer, photographer, and admirer of all things vibrant!Immediately after graduating with a degree in BFA Information Design from Ateneo de Manila University, I have dedicated my time and skill in creating and sharing explorative, adorned, and colorful work through my freelance practice—several of which have assisted businesses, institutions, and individuals in numerous ways.Along with consuming caffeine, I regularly study and interpret themes of cultivating kind spaces through tenderness & vulnerability, appreciating mundane experiences, and consistently using

Work Experience

2017-2020

Applied and joined as an Art Staff member |of The Magnificat—the Official Publication
of Miriam College High School.

2019

August
I was elected as the Marketing Head
of student-led business, TACOLOCo.I created the branding and visual direction
for the business, which focused on selling delicious Filipino x Mexican tacos for
MCHS students.

November
Applied and joined as a member of the Publicity Committee for Miriam College High School's annual school fair entitled Novus (2019). I have contributed multiple posters and work efforts for the event, as
shown below.

2020

Elected as the Art Editor of The Magnificat.
I have led a team of dedicated artists to conceptualize, illustrate, and polish many artworks for our regular publication launches and promotional materials.

February
Appointed as Marketing Head of SHÌ SÚ, another student-led business that sold uniquely-filled Chinese wontons to MCHS students and curious customers in
UP Town Center, Katipunan.

Elected as a Member of Crossroads' Publicity Team. This was the final initiative
of the MCHS Senior Students, where small businesses were run for a day at
UP Town Center.I have designed the event's official poster as well as the printed backdrop that was used
for the stage, on the day of the event.

Appointed as Marketing Head for Kamote ni Ate, a section–led initiative that aimed to create a branding and visual identity kit for a small business based in Rizal, Antipolo. This was done for Business Management class.

2021–2023

Applied and was accepted as a Design Staffer of HEIGHTS Ateneo, the Official Artistic and Literary Publication of the Ateneo de Manila University.I was involved in laying out the bi-annual Folios and created posters for both internal and
external initiatives.

2023–2024

Appointed as the Managing Editor for External Affairs for HEIGHTS Ateneo.I was in charge of handling initiatives involving organizations, figures, and personalities within and external to the University body.Applied and accepted as a Marketing Intern for the Ateneo Art Gallery (June–July 2024)

2024–2025

Graduated with Cum Laude Honors, took a short break, and handled several project-based branding jobs for an artist, small businesses, and for friends and family.Created and posted several artwork series on Instagram during break periods, which gained unexpected traction.

2025

Officially launched kavilart shop, this online storefront provides an international avenue for the physical merchandise of my aforementioned artwork series.
